Shared Leadership
Christ Episcopal Church, Sheridan, is proposing a shared leadership model as a pilot project for smaller rural churches in the Diocese of Montana. As a small rural church, Christ Episcopal Church is seeking to move away from clergy centric leadership to a model in which trained and prayerful members begin assuming more leadership in worship, pastoral care, outreach, and administration. We plan to provide Holy Eucharist at least two times a month and Liturgy of the Word with Distribution of the Consecrated Sacraments about once a month. Janis Hansen will present some of these forms of worship and be governed by her Letter of Agreement which specifies absence from service twelve times a year.
